How to Relax, Unwind &
De-stress in Dubai
6 ways to enjoy a stress-free holiday in Dubai
Dubai is now one of the busiest cities in the world. Even if you’re in this city just for a holiday, it can be
easy to get caught up in all the hustle and bustle happening in and around it. Pretty soon, you might prefer
spending more time in your luxury hotel room in Dubai to avoid all the stress that comes with
going out and doing all the usual touristy stuff.

Enjoy a Stress-Free Holiday
Even with the fast-paced way of life in Dubai, you can still enjoy an amazing getaway in this city. You can do
this by finding ways to relax, unwind and de-stress, and including them in your itinerary. Here are some ways and
tips for doing so:
1. Drink green
tea
Instead of starting your day with coffee, opt for green tea. Green tea contains theanine, an amino acid that helps promote calmness and
relaxation. You can drink green tea hot or cold so you can enjoy sipping this beverage any time of the
day.
2. Eat healthy, mood-boosting
foods
There is nothing wrong with indulging in your favorite sugary and fatty treats during your holiday since you’ll
find nearly all cuisines in Dubai where you won’t have any problems
satisfying your cravings. But if you want to feel better and less stressed out, eat more nutritious foods that
will boost your mood and energy.
Examples of energizing foods include:
- Nuts
- Fish (salmon, tuna, etc.)
- Bananas
- Vegetables
- Quinoa
- Beans and lentils
These food items are rich in vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids which have
been proven effective in giving you more energy. They help improve brain activity and your overall mood as
well.
3. Get a
massage
Take advantage of the numerous Dubai spa offers and get a massage. It’s a great way to relax and get rid of
the tension and stress threatening to ruin your vacation. When you get a massage, you’ll feel your worries and
stress melt away. It will also lift your mood so you enjoy the rest of your holiday.
4. Spend time at a quiet
beach
Most of Dubai’s beaches are always crowded, especially during weekends
when both holidaymakers and residents can be found in these world-famous tourist spots. However, the emirate isn’t
devoid of quiet beaches; you will find ones where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy a stress-free day.
4x4 Beach and Cove Beach are just two of Dubai’s seaside havens that offer beachgoers the perfect setting and
opportunity to relax. Laze on the sand, read a book or enjoy a refreshing drink while listening to the gentle
waves.
Simply looking at the beautifully clear water and watching the sunset will help you relax and forget everything
that’s stressing you out.

5. Meditate
While you’re at the beach, or in your quiet luxury hotel room in Dubai, or any place you find peaceful and soothing, meditate.
You don’t have to be an expert in yoga or tai chi (although it would be more helpful if you are) to meditate and
achieve a state of calmness. To meditate, sit down, close your eyes, and relax your muscles.
Next, focus on one thing: it can be your breathing, a painting, the beach, the sky, or a vivid picture in your
mind. Do this for at least 10 minutes and you’ll feel the tension and all your worries melt away. The longer you
meditate or practice mindfulness, the better you will be able to relax and let go of all your worries.
6. Listen to
music
You don’t have to listen to classical music to feel more calm and relaxed. When you listen to your
favorite slow tempo tunes in your hotel room or when you go out, you’ll be able to slow down your breathing,
lower your heart rate and blood pressure, and relax your tense muscles.
If you want to have more energy to do more fun stuff on your holiday, turn on the volume while you’re playing
fast, loud, or up-tempo music.
Stress can strike anywhere and it can affect anyone. Even if you’re on a holiday, your mood can easily be
dampened by a problem that suddenly comes up. The important thing is to deal with and get over your issues or
worries immediately, and to not let stress ruin your vacation.
